Lately the bootlegs and remakes/ remixs of
older music has been taking up alot of room
in the crates of Dj's.
What is your favourite at the moment?
I would have to say as of late for me
it is a tie between the Digital Underground bootleg
and " I lke the night life baby" Cars.

feelin it,
s.

Friday Night Posse - Voodoo People

Kinda took the Prodigy and funkedified it

or

Aurora - Ordinary World (Above and Beyond Mix)
Blizzard Bros - Thunder (an interestin take on AC/DC)
Aquagen - Hard to say I'm sorry

All these have 80's/90's samples or are remade entirely

I know you got soul w/ Billie Jean as the backdrop - Eric B. & Rakim

Doowutchyalike - Digital Underground that you s&h were playing at element last week.

Deeper underground and Avenue - Jamiroquai and Paul Van Dyk

Intergalactic spliced with Rockit/Need You Tonight/Back in Black and back to Rockit - Beastie Boys w/ Herbie Hancock, INXS, AC/DC.

Smack my Bitch up spliced with South Park - silly but fun Prodigy with Cartman.

Heard a crazy PM Dawn Breaks remix that I was hugely fond of.

From the Ministry of nice thread :)

Agreed about the Myagi remix.
I like that "Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS remix as well. Forgot who did it. Corsten? Oakendold? Anyone remember?

And of course, Otis Phil Collins redux. :)

That remix of Digital Underground you play at element is amazing.
Hopefully it'll be on your next team:p The best remix I've got is......probably.......emmmm get your freak on. My favorite song is Rockwells Somebodies watching me. The remixes I've heard suck ass though IMO

not so much a bootleg or a remix but i love how the main rhythm line was lifted from i feel love and used in
tococrazy vs. console - frieburg v3.0 (we love giorgio remix by miss kittin & the hacker)
and on Zombie Nation - Unload EP

except i dont think thats whats used on b2, it sounds like they use a different synth line from some other song, justy cant put my finger on it.

I wish I could hear that Michael Jackson bootleg of "Tonight" I suppose it is called.
You know which one I mean.
Disappeared too quickly since not too many actually got a copy of it.

Oh yeah,

Slacker's - Studio Junkie double CD is very creative in mixing up old tracks with newer and/or other classics. I can't say enough about how much I like listening to this on a regular basis. Coco, Steel And Lovebomb's Feel It redone, Cope mixed up with some other stuff. It goes on and on.

From the Ministry of a fave.

You talking "Off The Wall"? If there are any newer remixes/remakes I wan't em!!!!!

Fell in love with the cheesy 'deaf n dumb crew/wisdome' ones a few years back, and have been listening to the Jason Patrick remix lately. But yeah, in keeping with the thread, I love that particular song.

Also heard a remix of 'Somebody's Watching Me' recently that I loved, don't know who it's by though.

My fav remix of all time is the Hoax(Mike Grey) remix of Hall and Oates 'No Can Do'.

Tong played some serious oldy tracks mixed with new basslines. heh

Prince - I would die for you
Seal - Killer
Both of these remixes are incredible. Brought me back to being a kid, soo huge.

The first time I heard that Sarah Mcglaclan (spelling!) remix by Tiesto of Silence I cried. Brilliant at the time anyways.
There is also a remix of Chris Isaaks - I want to fall in love, Max Graham was playing it for a while. I don't know the exact name of the original or remix. heh Sorry.

How does it not apply? Damn, I thought this thread was about remixes of classics? I know Sunny, the song is a fucking gino anthem and well played out. But...for a few months (in the beginning) it was incredible. IMO anyways.
