    Which one should I buy?

Has anyone played that Robotech game for PS2?
Is it out on X-Box too?

    Must have that game!!

I've seen both systems on Sale @ Cash Perverters for $175.

    Is that a good deal?

What's the deal with mod chips?
    I've heard some X-Boxes can't be modded.

    I await your responses....
    :D :D :D
  2. PS 2 all the way

it's a real toss up for me, but i seem to favour xbox now.

owning both makes the decision a lot easier

  9. No, it's available for PS2 and Gamecube as well. PS 2 is selling it for about $30 right now.

Yeah, and I quite like it, despite the fact that I can't get past a particular level.

    I gotz a PS2 now... and I LOVE it.

I might get an XBox later anyhow... but PS2 is definitly amazing.

Whatever you do don't buy a platform based on 1 game... you'll regret it later.

PS2 has more games and better ones IMO. Xbox definitely has some cool shit but not enough for me....

I have been waiting for a game like that based on Robotech since the mid 80's...

    Macross kicks ASS!!!!!

    I'm leaning towards PS2...

I don't like the big clunky X-Box controls to much!

    What about mod chips?
    What's the skinny?

Everyone tells me that Pacific mall in Markham is good to go! I keep meaning to get mine done but always find something else to blow-da-dough on! :D

Didn't bother going through the thread but here's my suggestion.

PS2 simply based on the games available for it and the quality of these games.

And when the PS3 comes out....it'll probably be backwards compatible.

XBox mod'd = Best thing ever.

You can play all the games for free ;)
You can play N64, GBA, MAME, etc with it.

I'm sorry for the price ... it can't be beat if you ask me.

Pop a 120Gb in your XBox and a Chip and you're set for a long time.

HAve fun when the don't install what they say they will, fuck up your system, and if you're a honky, spit on you when you come back to complain.

Stay the fuck away from Pacific mall if you're getting a PS2 modded.

anyone that says ps2 doesn't have a x-box...I have both, trust me, go with the x-box..just cause it has the ability to crush the ps2 in every way, and ya know mocrosoft is gonna throw the $$$ at it...

You should also consider the Gamecube. While it does not have as large of a library as the other systems, in my opinion, it has the strongest list of exclusive titles - games that are only available for the Gamecube and nowhere else. And that list is only getting bigger, as there are a ton of excellent games due for release in the next few months. Not to mention the fact that you can get the Gameboy Player, essentially adding the huge Gameboy library to the lineup. It's no slouch in the graphics department, either - most games look as good on the Gamecube as they do on the X-box. And it is the cheapest of the three consoles.

Ya, that's because TEH XOBX IS HUEG LOL LOL ITS SO BIG LOL
  22. I've played the X-Box and I own a playstation. X-Box's lack of decent titles is what made me decide between the two. It might be the better system, but so was the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast in their day, and they still lost.

XBOX! I have played all three platforms and nothign coems close to the performance of an XBOX.

Example: Fell in love with Tiger Woods golf on PS2 and bought ifor the XBOX. Huge difference in XBOX quality and performance.

Your best bet is to rent them both and do your own test.

^^^ Yeah, Gamecube + GameBoy player = loads of fun, a nice exclusive library...and a nice controller too...

I have an Xbox...and I really like it - there isn't a huge library yet, but there are some quality games coming out.

The PS2 - I may get one simply for Time Crisis 3...droooooooool
