I was in a walker (the ones that are now outlawed) and my grandfather was running for the phone and unplugged the kettle on the way - I came along and yanked the cord and the boiled water went all over my stomach and leg.
I outgrew a lot of the scar, but it still covers the upper half of my leg. I used to get teased a lot as a kid (BACON leg, of all things) so I never used to wear shorts. Now I don't care about it but it feels too strange to wear shorts since I'm not used to it.
Edit: it looks like a roadmap now because it happened when I was 2, and apparently I picked the scab a lot, making the scar worse.
Middle finger on left hand - tip severed off when my dad was cutting turnip on the counter. I was almosy 3 and watching from a chair next to him. Wanting to be helpful I reached for a piece that slid across the counter and CHOP there went the tip of my finger. I've given cops the finger more times than I can count though.
Got reeeeeeeally drunk and fell head first off a skateboard into concrete. Taken to the hospital by drunk friends. Had a goose egg on my forehead big enuf that when trying to cover it I couldn't touch any other part of my forehead with my fingers. Ended up with no concussion, but had to have very painful xrays and shit taken (painful from nurse constantly moving my head and kept hitting the goose egg). Goose egg went away within a week, but ended up with a progressive black eye for about 3 months.
I was cutting string for a necklace I was making in gr.3 with an exacto knife. The knife was a little too sharp, I sliced my hand open, just above my wrist on my thumb. I only got three stitches but the gash was pretty deep.
I was sad I couldn't do gymnastics for a couple weeks but I think I did anyway, I took out the stitches myself which was fun.
Im not sure exactly what was the end result, but the worst pain I've ever been in was after an incident where I drunkenly attempted a front flip off the top of a fence. I only made it 3/4 the way around and landed directly on my back.
I couldnt even lay down comfortably, let alone any slight moving for at least a week.
still causes some repercussions with lower back pain.
and just this past weekend I seriously sprained and pulled ligaments in my ankle. this is the biggest bruised area I can ever remember having, with a big ugly bruise developing along the entire outside of my foot to my heel, then going past my ankle up just before my shin (as well as a 3"x1" strip of bruising on the inside of my foot).
Lost my helmet in a football game and still got up to make the tackle!
Result: fractured skull and 3rd concusion
Broke 2 ribs while wrestling for a gold medal. Lost.
Result: spring break in Daytona the next week was PAINFULL!
I'm right handed, and broke 2 bones in said hand helping friend move lasy FEB.
Result: less viewing of internet porn.
I got doored a few years ago while hauling ass up Davenport on my mountain bike. I broke my handlebars off on his door and continued along without the bike to land on my elbow and break it into 5 smaller elbows. Now I’ve got a nice hunk of steel (which sets off metal detectors) and a few nice screws in my arm.
