Anything and everything World Juniors in this thread mang...

Anyone else catch the Canada's warm-up game yesterday against Sweden? Fairly solid win over the Swedes, and I believe that with each game, Marc-Andre Fleury will only get better and better....

They do have quite a young squad, however, many played together in the under-18 tournament in the past year, and I think this is the year Canada returns to World Junior gold.

Canada vs. Finland on Boxing Day.

Canada beat Austria fairly easy yesterday, 6-1.

Tomorrow's a serious day for hockey....first, watchin' my little brother play hockey at 8am, then off to home to watch Canada's juniors play host Finland....then the Leafs vs. Rangers in the evening.

that was just where the exhibition games took place...

the tourny is in Helsinki and Hameenlinna - Finland.

Solid effort from our team...and they just got better and better as the game went on...don't think the Fins expected such physical dominance from our boys!

Crosby had a couple good shots on net, and Fleury barely got tested in this game.

What a way to start the tournament....G'oh Canada!

Saw part of this game. The third goal was ugly but Canada did dominate.

Got up right at 7:15, put on some fresh coffee...and watched the entire pre-game...

Canada was the obvious dominant team, however, they played quite sloppy at times, and the two Swiss goals were carbon-copy plays, with Canada's defence failing in transition.

Great to see Crosby score, as he had many great moments with the puck throughout the game.

Bring on the Ukraine tomorrow at 11am....then it's the big game against the Czech Republic later on in the week.

It's interesting the effect Crosby is having on the youngins. I played some shinney last night and all the kiddies that were (10-15 years old) were practicing that Crosby highlight/move where he flips the puck flat onto his blades and lacrosse styles it into the opponents net. I have a feeling Crosby is gonna have a huge game soon.

weird i've been doing said move or replica of the "goal" for about 5 years now, even Bure's tuck and kick out with the skate for the the same time!!!!!!!!

someday...they will recognise!
