I love it when this happens..Bad Santa opened in the number 8 spot last week...but because of word of mouth it has climbed the charts and sits in the number one box office spot Monday and Tuesday of this week... if you have't seen it...GO...it is the most offensive comedy I have ever seen... not laugh out loud funny, more oh my god I can't belive they did that funny.

I heard Billy Bob is pretty horrible in it.

BB: "Yeah, I would like to do a santa movie after Slingblade and Monster's Ball. Thanks, Ronnie!" *click*

Saw Bad Santa last night and thought it was great.

A sick a twisted sense of comedy with a dark underlying storyline and message.

Billy Bob was great as a pissed off surly mother fucker who's life has gone to the shits.

John Ritter’s character was also a classic.

Lauren Graham (of TV’s Gilmour Girls)...her character has a fetish that is one of the best I've ever seen in a movie

Then there is that little midget (don't know his name) who's more foul mouthed than Eddie Murphy in Delirious.

Bad Santa is worth the price of admission.

I have to see this now.

pr0nstar :D

It's not quite as sweet at the end of The Ref and the little fat kid in Bad Santa is a goddam riot. The film has some undeniably Cohen Brothers moments in it. Louise and I were laughing all the way through.

I really dug it, thought it was frigging hilarious and wasn't quite as serious as The Ref could be at some points (which I saw as a big plus for The Ref).

yes....word of mouth... it certainly helps when the words are being spoken into a microphone by Howard Stern..... he's been shilling for them hardcore.... and they have been advertising on TV etc.... not quite a grassroots revolution. Unrelated - I want to see it.

I got use to all the swearing by half way through the movie.I hated the fat kid in it,he couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag.The 10000 question scene has been done already in the movie Uncle Buck.

I'm listening to NPR now and they gave a horrid review for the "cat in the hat" but the reviewers were blown away by "Bad Santa".

not exactly true.... out of al the movies in the top 10 it is in the least number of Theatres, (actually finishing 11th) had the smallest budget and the least advertising budget by almost half....
alliance here actually cuts its advertising budget the week before it came out... by definition, when howard stern is talking about it, it is word of mouth...

The funniest person in the movie was by far was the fat kid.

If you heard the shit that came out of his mouth!

"was that because you peed on your mommies dishes?"

This movie was the best movie I've seen in a long time.

"You ain't gonna shit right for a month."

John Ritter was awesome.

I couldn't stop laughing!

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE HIGH -- YOU WILL BREAK A LUNG

Saw it last night. One of the darker comedies I've seen in a long time.

elf: Your life revolves around booze, bullshit, and buttfucking.
santa: yeah, the 3 B's.

billy bob continues to be one of the most underrated actors today...no one else I can really think of in the role of the self-loathing santa...really funny! :D

saw this last night.
it was pretty funny, but not as funny as i was expecting considering the glowing reviews it got from some of my friends.
i laughed out loud on several occasions, and i thought John Ritter's comic timing was incredible. i actually wish he had a bigger role, cuz he had me howling.
okay, heres a question: wtf is supposed to be funny about Bernie Mac? hes like, the opposite of funny.
i have a friend in a comedy troupe who does a song entitled Bernie Mac and that song is about 100 times funnier than anything Bernie has ever said.

anyway, my feelings about this film is that while its funny, its not something i would recommend to anyone. it would have been better as one of those gems you stumble upon at the video store or on tv. too much of a one trick pony.
