WMC Questions.....ITs right around the corner!!!

hey, just wondering if anyone in tribe land has been to WMC before cause I got a question.

Im not going to do any networking and such, but am trying to figure out whether or not I should register as a delegate.

what are the poolside parties like?

what are the perks of being registered?

is the $275 US price tag worth it?

You get a cool bag and access to some events... but not the ones you really want to go to.

If you're not their for business, don't get a pass.

Has anyone been to the workshops or the actual "conference" part? Was it worth it?

I went last year to party, but this year I'm thinking of going for business and to actually learn something.

I have gone 4 years in a row, (I won't be going this year) it is a ton of fun, bring tons of $$$$.... many of the really good parties (big dj small event) are private and hard to get into, what I did was made up a fake oline magazine (didn't exist at all) and called alot of the reps and media people asking for press passes, and sure enough I got a ton in the mail...try that.

WMC was a blast last year - but forget the passes. Most parties aren't "officially" affiliated with the conference - sad but true state.

As for local heavyweights - i imagine allworld will have a party set up, other than that i'm not entirely sure.

I'd love to go again this year but it's just not possible.

going to the WMC for business reasons is one thing, but i have never understood why people would go just to party.

it's way over-priced and you're basically partying with the most pretentious people from every city all rammed into one place.

i'm sure the music is fantastic, but there are so many better places to go if you're looking for the ultimate music/party experience.

i definitely seem to be in the minority on that, though, as, every year, tons of my friends continue to go.
