will an 802.11g card be able to connect to an 802.11b router/network?

it would make sense that it would (although it would run at b speeds), but i just want to make sure.

anyone?

All i know is if anyone owns a wireless router, make sure you have an encription on it because I have been successful at using other peoples servers in my general area.

Wireless .g was designed to be backwards compatible with the .b networks but this can also be disabled. Wireless G though is not backwards compatible with the .a standards.
