Windows Gateway with Wireless problems

Ok so I have a machine running windows XP. This machine is also the connection to my wireless way out. The other side of the machine connects to my wireless router and every other machien wireless or not connects to it on a secure network. Problem is I can't get the windows machine to show up on the internal network. Even though that card is on the same network??

any ideas. Maybe I need to open some ports on the router?

I have this problem with windows XP. Sometimes I fiddle with the settings and the fiddling fixes it, but I don't actually change anything. I don't know what it is.
