Why won't my Real player play DVDs?

A DVD drive is something entirely different. It should read fine. Unless... you don't actually have a DVD drive.
There's no such thing as a CD-rom that can read DVD. You can have a DVD read CD, because of downward compatibility, but not the other way around.
So which is it? Do you have a CD-ROM or do you have a DVD-Rom?

I'm going to be nice and try to be helpful.
if you are trying to watch a move dvd... you need dvd decoding software like POWERdvd. or WINdvd.
once installed you should be able to play any dvd movie through the use of these apps.
do google seaches for either app.. or PM me and ill arrange to send you powerDVD with a crack when i get home from work.

thats fine and dandy but... its REALPLAYER.
