The irony is some of these so-called Trance bashers probably dance along to the occasional trance track not even realizing that it is trance - I've personally seen it. Kind of makes you wonder why they're even reading in the Trance Room if they hate it so much? I think some people are just ignorant of how far trance has come since its early days. Maybe its just the name that sometimes gives the wrong idea about the music itself. At any rate trance has played an important role in the dance/electronic music era and producers from every genre of music have used elements of it in their stlyles of music.
To each their own but really, slamming other people's style of music is just plain lame. Keep in mind that many of the top ranked DJs in the world come from trance. From what I've seen, there's been plenty of support for them here when they come and trance parties/events always have a great vibe to them. So whether or not the haters on this board like trance or not doesn't matter - its got lots of support on TA, TorontoRaves and other boards.
