why is it taking so long?

so im trying to send an email and in it im attaching photos. theres probally like 20 photos or so in this file. but ive been getting the "please wait while we attach your file" for like 2 hours now. wtf?

probably because the 20 photos add up to alot of memory.

yup that's quite a lot to send in one email. try splitting them up between several emails. say max 3 to 5 per email.

48 megs for 20 photos is way too large joey, you need to resize them to a smaller resolution so that they're not as large. 640x480 is a safe bet for email / posting on the web.

Host the emails somewhere else, like yousendit dot com
Toss them in a zip and link to it in the email

get Picassa from www.google.com its about the easiest for this sort of thing, using gmail or regular Outlook.

set it so that its resizing emailed pictures to the 640 setting and your recipients will thank you.

the nice thing about Picassa is that it doesn't screw with your originals, so if someone does want the huge version you can still send it later
