why do females keep the washroom door open?

trivial question.. yes... but why.. i ask you.. why!

when i go tot he washroom i lock the door up tight... hell if i want someone walking in...

but i've noticed a trend with women.. cri is horrible for it.. she never shuts the door..

is this just me or has anyone else noticed this?

enlighten me, please... how are you so comfortable with going to the washroom and allowing everyone in the world to hear/see it?

and they don't understand why you LOCK the door when you go..

There is a reason why there is a lock on the door.

You are so right!

I grew up in a house with just my sis and my mom and now I live with just my girlfriend and they never close or lock the door.

If I go in to wash my hands, I lock the door.My girlfriend gets mad at me and starts kicking the door if I have it locked.

The bathroom is my sanctuary and I like to be alone!

So there I am, sitting on the can, reading my ex-girlfriend's girlie magazines. (Nothing else to read on the throne at her place)...

When all of a sudden....

The lock pops and she comes in without knocking.
Proceedes to sit cross legged on the floor, takes her magazine, and begins reading it to me.

I look left, look right, shake my head from side to side to see if I've got a loose wire or something - but no. She's still there. On the floor beside me, reading passages of cosmo to me while I'm having a shit.

Being comfortable in a relationship is good, necessary even - but that's just too much.

haha wow i didn't think i'd get this many responses of people agreeing.. so this is an actual general FEMALE thing...

women leave the door open ... meanwhile men lock the door shut...

anyone want to hazzard to approach an actual true reason for why this is?? besides women wanting to continue conversations.. cause come on that CAN happen through a door... and no matter how many times i ask cri to please shut the door when she uses the washroom... she refuses .. (part of my payback for this is whenever i am at her place i lift the toilet seat up.. even if i didn't use the washroom... :) )

I'm afraid I don't have an answer..

Has anyone noticed that girls forget to flush toilets, too? Like because they never have to face the thing they just walk away from it like everything will disappear..

I agree this is a serious issue with many women, having grown up in a house with 2 sisters and my mom it was out of control..
Like close the door already :( This has scarred me for life :(

Or like when you're at a Cottage and you're about to get in the shower and Laura busts open the door and says one second... you grab your towel and turn your head for a second.
Then you look back and she's sitting on the toilet doing the do...
