last year I would have to say it was the year of Koma & Bones...

Who do you think is gonna be tha shit in 2002?

My vote goes to Elite Force and ILS .

(ILS' new album is gonna make heads turn when it comes out)

ILS album should be good, his last album was the goods but not many ever really heard it I don't think?

I hope he sticks to his "sound" aswell

I also expect big things from Tipper as he is currently working on 2 new albums. One more downtempo listening type music and one more on the Hip-Hop/Tip Hop Tip. After hearing his "Cuttin the Jibber" hipo Hop mix it is clear that he can own in any genre that he wants. Dave's the Man!!!!

I'd have to agree... Ils is turning heads all over the place. I could definitely see Next Level getting into the UK top 40 because of its pop appeal.

And Elite Force... can this man do no wrong? He has so many tunes scheduled for release this year, spanning across tons of labels. The man's getting around!

I think Kraymon will also make his mark this year. Every tune that he's put out so far has been killer, and some of the bigger labels are starting to take notice.

Big tings agwon.

Agreed.

Also look out for these labels to make an impact this year:

Marine Parade (the shit already)- full lengths from Apex, Evilnine, ILS and a mix CD from Bassbin Twins!

Mob Tayo's label will be back with more Beber & Tamara and other goodies as well as the next instalment of the Urban Underground Mix CD series this time mixed by Freq Nasty .

Plank - Bushwacka's (the genius) label will drop some serious funky shizat.

Whole 9 Yards DJ Hyper, Dylan Rhymes, Elite Force... need I say more?

also look for some cool shit on Hyper's very own Kilowattlabel.

There will most definately be more bomb shit from other labels but in my opinion these will be the one's to take it to the next level.

yeah - i think the 4/4 breaks fusion is gonna skyrocket this year...also i think the funkier side of nu-skool will grow coutesy of guys like the above mentioned RHYMES.....plus im hoping for big stuff from BLIM's TRACK label and Against the Grain could offer up some good stuff, though i really didn't like smash your breaks...

Don't forget about your boys back home. We plan on really giving the Brits a run for there money this year. 2WARS has a massive release schedule ready to go for 2002. It should be very noticeable. We'll be hitting you over the head twice a month with vinyls plus a full line of cds on Koch. There's also the Project live cds with Scissorkicks, etc..

I think it's going to be another great year for TO breaks producers
I'm also hoping for some good stuff to come out on Against The Grain ... like Myagi said Smash Your Breaks was a little bit on the disappointing tip
And for some more DJ Zinc tracks ... his shit ruled last year

This year is looking like a great year for the Mini Pops come back. They kick some serious old school ass.
