hard for me to say...

I don't have much from this year, mp3 or vinyl, but I'd have to say Dj Sneak's "Fix my sink" is a pretty dope track, don't know if it's my track of the year, but it's ranks high on my short list for 2003.

I'm still going with Rasmus Farber's Ever After on Far Plane/Defected - latin grooves + sweet vocals = a winner in my book.

Do yourself a favour if you like the vocal/soulful vibe and look this track up.

i got it on 10", it's either called 'the arranger' or that's the artist/producer. the paul johnson mix is definetily off the hook! i left it at a buddies house last night so i will give you more info (label, etc..) when i get it back (very soon).

Two of my favourite tracks I picked up this year were:

"Fade" - Solu Music feat. Kimblee - WAVE

and

"Somebody New" - Georg Levin feat. Clara Hill - Sonar Kollektiv

Those two tracks stand out for me for this year.

personal faves this year...

for pure musicality / production:
Anders Trentemoller "Le Champagne" (Naked)

for all around-never fail to rock the party-ness:
E Wawa (white)
or
Filterheadz rmx of "House Music" (Yoshi)

for feel good vocally clubby tracks for the ladies:
Mood 2 Swing "Can't Get Away" (Defected)

All in all I think it was a half-decent year for tunes, nothing too mindblowing but when they were good--they were really fucking good.

Some new styles and producers emerged that are sort of still trying to find themselves...which means that next year should be kick ass in a way that it hasn't been for a long time. I'm looking forward to it.

Too many to even list just one.

But I still have to give the nod to The Dub (Sade Remix) by our own Vench. That track gets me every time and it kills the crowd every night.

I would have to add to my one previous choice:

Trouble Man - "Change Is What We Need".

Beautiful, airy, funky, sexy.
