i just listened to the "me talk pretty one day ep" and it has the "temptation and lies" track on it. i heard kenny glasgow drop this a while back but i don't remember hearing any words in the track. is there a dub of it on the release?

i like Safety Scissors' original shit... but these remixes, the John Tejado rmx and a Todd Edwards/Akufen-isque mix is shit hot!! i try and stay away from video-hgame-atari-presets house... but i can't help it with this one!!

Ghetto Kids -- Junkee Express -- Heavy Traxx
alittle on the proggy side... but i can dig it!

Hollis P Monroe Vs Etta James -- This Is Goodbye -- EJ

Tony Thomas -- The Juggler / Chilltribe -- Jamayka
you're fuckin' kiddin' me!!!! i mean, dayuhm... just enough pads... just enough bump... ho'lotta'funk!

Inaya Day (Todd Terry) -- Keep Pushin On -- White
this was one of my favourite house records of all time... and these remixes do it justice! nice but over-worked filtering work... nice flow... everything about it clicks...!

Shutterflooders -- EP Vol. 3 -- Focused (Promo Copies)
the Cookie Cutter track is a nice filtered uppity track, but the filters are sub-dued (especially in comparison to Light My Fire, which is alittle loud even for me).

G Flame & Henk Detox EP Alpha
now this is tech-house!! or is it tek-haus? i dunno. but it's got some techno shuffley rhythms, some disco loops, an occassional Giorgio Moroder stab, and it's unrelenting... peak hour big room at its finest. maybe alittle too fast, but that's why God made pitch sliders for! ;)


Denis The Menace Presents Tube 6 -- Funkadelic -- Superplayer Black
more peak hour big room filtered madness... there's also a more housey-breaky version that can be used to break the monotony of a 4-to-the-floor set. Aside from the "it's funkadelic" vocal snip, it's a good track.

Kelis Vs Unknown There's Lead In My Shake Matchmaker
so far, i never get tired of this song. This mix has that electro-y-meets-housey sound that i'm kinda feelin' right now, actually, but still maintains a trakky feel to it. I think some of the samples come in precariously... but that's ok. it'll rock the dancefloor. for real.

Get This Vs Timbaland Feat. Magoo & Missy Elliot -- Cop That Underwear --White
I try to stay away from mash ups... but this one is nice. I liked Seamus Haji's Ya Underwear and I like Missy Elliot... so, yeah, of course i'll get it... sound quality is amazingly good for a white label mash-up, too. Another pure crowd pleasure

Nikki Costa -- Everyone Got That Something -- Bush
nothing too spectacular about this remix... fairly standard fare, actually.. surprising from Bush... but i had to get it b-c i love Nikki Costa and i love this song... this was our song on the way up to WEMF 2002 in Toronto (mostly b-c we lost some CDs and tapes and the only thing we had was her album.. heh...) Good funky house... easy on the filters...

and finally....

ATFC Featuring Inaya Day Mine Onephatdeeva
next to Tera Deva, Inaya Day is one of my favourite house singers of all time!! I love her voice. Strong. Full of Energy and Emotion! THis is a great house tune, altho the riff is taken from TO BE REAL from the 70s, at least they re-played it versus sampling it... a funky #, indeed!

The last two Get Physical are particularly nice. Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y. drop some serious electro tek house business.

Last but not least Random Factor remixed by DJ T. Congrats to 2020 on their 100th release(this being 100Rmx). One of the best house labels in the world and a milestone fer sure.
