it hurts my fucking soul i missed her hometown show in the harbour with Caribou and Jamie xx. I hustled so hard to get that day off but no dice. ho hum
anyways diggin this as of late
The mix starts strong, and the house/techno at the end is great (especially "Surrender"), but the middle is terrible. That Shatner track is absolute toilet. And some of the "interludes" are...a bit much.
Yeah, I kind of regret not seeing her at her last show. Oh well, I'm sure there'll be more shows.

summertime isn't as good imo....it's still better than most the newer stuff though.
he's opening for A$ap Rocky with Danny Brown in Sept (i'll be there)
i'm all over the place with hiphop.
my dad is still mesmerized i still listen. he thought it would be a phase, yeah a phase that's lasted since '84. he hated it at first, but i introduced him to 'the fat boys', who he thought were fun (and i play dmc's 'hollis christmas' yearly, it's a tradition now)

ya after listening to Summertime I have to agree, not as good but I will definatley be keeping a heads up for new music from him. im debating attending that show - ill have Danny Brown a closer listen as well.
I have a similar experience with hip hop music. parents hated it, every older person around me was telling me I would grow out of it. Yet here, 20+ years later hip hop is still heavy rotation.
Funny enough, Fat Boys was the first hip hop album that I had ever bought!
