What is Tribe's real use?

Apparently my thread about "People's Lives" has caused some sort of drama, even though I don't think that's true. It was a discussion.

So, there were some points made by board contributors that I would like to discuss.

What is Tribe's use?

Is it strictly for "fun" conversation. Are we occasionally allowed to have a discussion that doesn't involve clothes, music, drugs, the weather etc...

I like this board, I think most of the members are great. I just don't want to have to feel like I can't bring up an issue or start a discussion.

Yes, there are other sites but I am no political activist. I just like to have discussion here and there.

I am very interested to read what your thoughts are on the board's use.

Tribe is what you make of it.

Can be a forum for intelligent conversation, Debate, Fun, Goofing off, Meeting people with similar interests...

I use it as a passtime at work.

The true meaning of Tribe is to promote the Aryan beliefs of founder alexd. Everything else is just coincedence.

Tribe, The final message board.

To Boldly say what is so obvious and rediculous and still think it's funny.

Tribe is definitely a passtime for many at work.

It does seem to bring out the argumentative side for some (myself included), but who cares?

an to solicit sex from staight boys. :p

*let it sliiiiide off your back*

I can't be bothered to get into serious debates on here...its not that I don't have an opinion. I just would rather discuss it, than type it in 10/15 min. intervals that I have at work.
That, and I come off like a complete moron when I am trying to articulate myself on-line. I'm a talker, I like to talk.

definitely.

I also like it as a quick means of getting a variety of opinions on any subject, comparing reviews of jams I attended and as a means of deciding who needs to be seen next time they come if I missed an event. Plus if I'm flipping out about something Tribe's a great place to express it (rather than biting off a co-workers/friend/family members head)

and it wastes time at work....perfect.

Suede man, just cool out yo, it's an open forum where anyone can say anyhting about anything, sometimes people offer valuable insight, sometimes they're just trying to cause shit. It's ok, they're allowed, don't worry about it.

tribe is what you make it.

if you feel like checking upcoming events do it, if you feel like a debate, make it happen. no one can tell you what you can and can't say on here (well maybe, but it's pretty free wheeling), which is what makes it a great place to vent, ask questions or just check shit out. plus you can probably find a record your looking for.

stop being so sensitive and enjoy what tribe is and what it represents......the scene.

peace,

Nate!
