I have only partied in Hamilton a few times before and it was with a girl I was seeing who only went to rocker bars.I want to go down there tonight, so I am wondering what there is to do.

I want

cheap booze
cheap cover
cheap narcotics
easy women
good music (jungle, techno, breaks, etc.) not rock music
someone to drive me there and take me home
a pita pit

the above are only suggestions. I'm open to anything!

Well it's nice to have dreams :)

If the weather is good, Hess
If you're gay/bi/lesbian, The Embassy
If you're a raver, Fever
If you're a student, Mac pubs

Fever sounds good is it free to get in and cheap drinks?

p.s. I'm not gay/bi/lesbian

Although if I was a girl I would definetly be a lesbian.I would be a big, macho dyke.

Hamilton is really hurtin' for such a big city.

Fever is the only place really for decent music. The cover is usually high - $10 and the turnout is quite unpredictable. Check the DJ lineup before you go. I've been there on a Friday recently and there were 15 ppl in the place, 5 of them were with me! Beers aren't that cheap either.

The border is rammed on Fridays... but the cheap women is the only thing on the List that you would go for. Its a meat market, pretty shitty music, Energy FM music basically. Beer isn't too expensive though. The downstairs of the border usually plays house or techno, which can be allright if you want to escape the unsettling feeling you'll get upstairs.

Saturday's there's Billy Bob's which has really gone down the tube. Used to be $1.50 drinks on Sat. but its nowa shitty version of the Border...which is saying a lot.

The best place in Hamilton IMO is the John. Its a MAC bar, which means you have to be a student or know one to get in. Saturday, its rammed with girls, $1.95 beers, music is really varried. Everything from R&B to 80's music and the clientelle are a little classier than the Border or Billy Bobs.

K...I'm done :)

Oh and there's a pita pit about 45 seconds from my house...near MAC. Only one I know of in Hamilton.

The cover is cheap on a regular residents night, it only goes up for special events, drinks are way cheap before 11 and are still fairly cheap after.

Tonight you get Big Leaguer Chu, Dave Saddler, Resident Soundboy, Switch, Tech-Tonique and 007 in the breaks lounge, and Skinny, Trevor James and Decepticon in the house room.
The crowd fills up a little later than usual, so a 10:00 start time would result in seeing no peeps. But they do come.

Yeah its true it does fill up later than most places. Its just hard to judge if it will sometimes. I've been there before and the place is rammed with ppl, great vibe and the next week it empty. Its cheap drinks before 11:00 but like you said, it fills up later than usual so there's no point in going early, so you can't enjoy the cheap drinks.

But there really is no other place in the city if you want some good Music :)

No it isn't. It's a sweaty hole. That's my opinion, of course. But I'm usually right. Ha!

No, it's just an assortment of Mac trash that didn't feel like making the trip to Billy Bob's or the Border. I avoid that place like the plague. Cheap drinks don't make up for the dignity I would lose walking into that place.

ps - worst music ever.

Everyone is forgetting @Home..
They have events there everu now and then, great Jungle shows usually..
I saw MArcus there not too long ago and had a great time..
Crowd turnout usually blows, but the tunes are good for Hammyton..

Go to Dr. Disc on a Thursday and ask Drew about the upcoming events..
