What is the most pretentious breed of dog you can get?

I am not going to get a dog. I am just creating this thread for potential Leslievillan dog purchasers to find when they are googling for pretentious dog breeds. I actually thought DIWC's Higgins was pretty pretentious, until you got to know him. Then you realize he is all thug.

Apart from that, I didn't really think Alex was going to get a pretentious dog, but you'd be surprised at the many who do (without realizing the work involved). Being the owner of a rottie was kind of thrown on us, and the work involved was huge. I'd raised 3 pups before, so I was prepared for the dog part, not just the rottie part. You need to be in control. In the end, he is an amazing beast and we love him dearly.

Pugs are very cute, but the work to keep them healthy is also a commitment. Too many people are not aware of this, and these poor things can become very sick.

Any dog requires a huge amount of work and love (as well as a thorough understanding of its needs). Anybody not willing to take that on should not have a dog.

In a perfect world, these bitey, barky and definitely needy 'pocket pets' would finally go out of fashion and all those bloody puppy mills (MUST stress the nastiness of them!!!) will finally disappear once and for all. There are so many wonderful dogs (and cats, bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, ferrets, plus many other deserving critters) out there who deserve a loving 'forever home' and probably (well maybe...) will tolerate wearing stupid Hallowe'en costumes at least once.
