usually this type of dealie is a murder/suicide.
but this crazy fuckwad was too chicken-shit to do himself in I suppose.
it's times like these I really fucking hope cops beat the piss out of the cocksmokers while incarcarated.

How can he go for an insanity plea? Guy was able to buy cigarettes and gamble, but not buy diapers. That's a conscious choice.

RIP.

er...what?
You're basing the validity of his expected plea off of what's been reported in the paper?

really gross, totally unverified information below

i think i heard something this morning about decapitation being involved
which is why they are wondering if he's insane
and why the police officers at the scene were traumatized (moreso than usual)

I've never understood the insanity plea.

what's so hard to understand? any good defence attorney will try to use it as it seeks to establish that mental illness was a contributing factor and that the person is not criminally responsible for his or her behaviour.

Regardless of what was printed in the paper, the guy has no reported history of mental illness, and suppose he did "snap".

What ever happened to YES, I DID IT. And claiming personal responsibility?

If decapitation was involved, he was probably trying to get rid of evidence. That shows calculation moreso than insanity.

That's a stretch of an assumption.

obviuosly I understand the concept, but if you're not mentally stable why should you not be held responsible?

yeah.. i mean especially stabbing to death.. it's way more gruesome and personal than shooting someone.

Especially in TO where apparently you can buy glocks in converted gumball machines..

Either this guy was too broke to buy a gun...or he was nuts.

SIDEBAR: maybe he watched the Karla movie and we can blame that for his crime?
