What happened to Winter?

Really, I know some of you people complain about the cold, the snow, the ice, etc.. etc.

But really what's happening to Winter in Ontario?

I just realized after boarding for probably the last time this winter, that I only had 2 months to Snowboard!?

When about 5 years ago or so, I was snowboarding in early May sometimes.. or at least until early April.

Really, we didn't get much snow, it wasn't too cold, except for a few days here and there...

But it's already Spring and it's only March 1st?

THANK THE LORD.

I love snow but I hate slush. If I had a car and a snowboard and funds to do all those neat wintery things, then I'd love it too.

But all I got are my feet so if I can sit on the patio in February or walk around in the sun without freezing, I am a happy camper.

BRING ON THE SUNSHINE.

I honestly think this global warming is finally getting to us more and more up in Canada.

I personally don't think there will be some big snow storm.
But we'll see..

I'm just sad I guess Snowboarding looks over already and it's only March 1st.

I have a friend in Fernie and the snow is melting there too - he is out there just to make money for the season so it sucks for him - I think this is how our winter in Canada is going to be from now on

you might want to read atp's global warming debate in the politics forum before you make such rash statements :)

"global warming" doesn't just mean the climate will become warmer year round.

It means more extreme summers and winters with less spring and autums.

I think what may be causingn the local hills to expreince less snow could be the fact Barri is now an effing big city, and thus creates its own environmental conditions.
