102.1 sucks now. it's all default and nickleback all the time... crap imo. they lost heir edge a couple of years ago if you ask me.

only good thing about it is the morning show and friday and saturday nights

I aggree! I havent listened to the edge since the invention of Pop Punk. Although I wake up to the morning show with Dean...

nickleback is the reason is switched to 680 news. don't get me wrong, i liked their song, but the 102.1 morning show will play exactly the same music at exactly the same time, day after day after day after day. i just got fed up waking up to the same 5 or 10 tracks every morning.

after a week of my alarm clicking on at 7:30 and hearing - 'this is how you remind me of who i really am....' every time, i went looking for something, anything else.

I listen to the morning show too.
I like it.
I find myself on the GO or walking to work, with a big fucking grin on my face all the time.
It's fun.

the edge is the best radio station in the world for bringing R.E.M. in for a free concert last summer

(actually i never listen to 102.1 but it was a nice concert)

Dude, 93.3 CFMU at McMaster has gooooood programming most nights.

I miss playing my tuesday night show. :(

And yes, 102.1 stopped being cool sometime in 1994.

I was listening to Edge 102 about 9 hrs a day (car and work), but it was a combination of 'The Brother' (aka: biggest effing loser in the world) and Nickelback that prompted me to discover the bling bling of Energy, Kiss, etc.

But now I'm off that shizz at the moment and listening to a lot of cds.

BTW: Kelly is on vacation in Spain for a couple of weeks... I'm assuming it is Carlos that replaced her, although it is often Vishna.
