What Do You Think About DAYTIME PARTIES???

a 3 day with music during the day, and hang out at night would be HELL.... unless it was in a heavily wooded area with lots of shade, look at WEMF last summer, everyone practically drank all the water that they brought during the Friday afternoon trying to setup.. have that as the full on party hours and I can imagine LOTS of calls to the EMT's for heat exhaustion....

I'd be very interested in a noon to midnight one day type event, like the Mekka shindig... that could've been lots of fun, and I was looking forward to going... Stuck on Earths party will probably do very well, also considering they've had almost a year to promote the thing.. it'll just take some getting people used to it... even if it is one day and ya can make it more like a "festival" it'd also go over really well. Everytime I see things about huge parties in the UK during the summer party season it looks like a huge festival with a lot more than just 4 tents with music.

I'd be willing to give it a whirl, again. but my previous expeirience tells me that activities typically enjoyed at night, are just not the same during the day.

I don't think it would have the same feel to it. It might still be good, just definitely different.

YES YES YES! I've been waiting for the birth of consistent daytime events... I am able to sleep through the loudest soundsystems at nite due to fatigue. Daytime events will put an end to that!

Hell yah!! You said it!! Especially the part about knowing what the person you are hitting on looks like - I have had some funny experiences with thinking that the person who I was talking to all night was pretty hot in the dim lights (and with a bunch of substances in me!) and then you get outside after the event and you are sadly disappointed with whom you spent most of your evening talking to! ( not to mention by the end of the party when your substances start to die down and the person doesn't look as cute).LOL

Putting on a sexy bikini top and getting a good tan is a plus too!

I love the idea of daytime/outdoor events, especially if they are near water. Sun, fresh air, beautiful women in bikini's and great music......who could ask for anything more?

I love the idea of daytime parties,

hey, if nothing else it's good for us 9-5'ers who could use to keep our sleeping scheduals more in check...

plus sunshine and beats can go really well together if the parties are outside

I for one didnt particularly like that area one festival and that was sorta daytime. Being inside on a nice summer day in a smokey club doesnt appeal to me.

However I like the looks of that party. I'll be having to go to it now.

I'm in agreement that being inside on a nice day does not appeal to me... on the other hand, generally after a party we sleep through the nice sunny day anyway so...

No lighting effects would suck.

and what the hell would you do afterwards? sleep? Sleep is for the weak! :p

If it were during day time hours I think the party should start in the afternoon and end at 3am.

I'm for it. Mostly because I'm getting old. :(

But I'm not sure everyone would be. Isn't the whole idea of the all-night-dance party a fundamental part of the "rave philosophy" or whatever's left of it? Redefining time frames, breaking out of the rigid schedule we are held to during the week... Being up and energized at 4:00am set us apart from everyone else, it made us unique. However self-centered it might sound, it was our time.

All-nighters also show a certain devotion partiers have to the scene. It was an event to look forward to, to prepare for in advance -- not an object of convenience.

It seems a lot of us have forgotten why we started partying in the first place.

If all parties switched to daytime, a big part of it will be lost. It wouldn't be a rave. But it's a sign of the times and as of now, it seems like a good option.
