for a while I would always switch to BPM, but then I ended up always starring at the same commercials.. (oh yeah and ugh crappy music videos..)

It's been out for more than a few years now, but like MD technology it suffers from near-zero marketing, I experienced it in South Africa at least 4 years back. Ionno what the difference was though, it sounded like Radio.

i think the real appeal is that you have so many more frequencies for stations to broadcast on

making airwaves very cheap to broadcast on .....

so more variety in music

i'm very very interested in digital radio broadcasting .. i would love to see what we once had at 1groove/89.5 [a community dj radio station] to go digital

rockin blue screens

....used to like it- but then my gym started using it & I realized how short the playlist was... ugh. I'm better off with my tapes.

However- the ambient is good to sleep to (the screen on my TV turns off after a while) and I just LOVE the Ragga/dancehall channel!!

703

Day in Day out I have to listen to it at work, its very repetitive to the point when you know what time a song will be played.

But occasionally they do throw in a good mix that restores your faith in it.

When I had my free preview of digital tv, our tv was always on one of the music channels. Dance, ambient, jazz. They were all good. And I'm getting Digital tv for good now for only $3 more/month. Most of the other channels still suck, but the digital music was a big reason for getting it.
