No, I can't. The only one that did it for me was watching American Beauty win. That was nice. But that backfired because all these loser people who don't watch films went and saw it (just because it won) and though it made a lot of money, I had to endure "Why did you like that movie? It was so disgusting and depressing..." for a few months.

after being nominated and virtually ignored for the other two past years, this shouldn't be a surprise.

It's a pretty incredible acheivement for any movie franchise to get leading number of nominations three years in a row, and the franchise deserves some sort of recognition, in the eyes of many in the industry. I expect it'll win best picture tonight.

To cut down on the idle time, they should have ejector seats for the winners and shoot them towards the stage.

I fuckin swear, half the time on this show is people making their way to the freaking podium.

I totlaly understand an dagree. It is just that all of the winners are not suprising, especially when it's a category with LOTR in it.

I chuckled at the "there is no one left to thank in new zealand" joke.
