Across the country, as Canadians watched the Canada/USA gold medal game, realizing that we had won...a beautiful thing occurred. For one brief moment, Canadians of all backgrounds stood in unison, briefly forgetting their differences, and patriotically belted out our national anthem...
"WE'RE NUMBER ONE!!! WE'RE NUMBER ONE!!!"
Go Team Canada...my national pride is restored. Phew!!! My girlfriend (another Canadian) and I sat in our hotel room and made such a ruckus, I'm sure that everyone was wondering what the hell was going on. I would share my feelings more, but right now we're looking for some Americans so that we can gloat. Yeay Team!!!!
