One time in my travels, I was invited to eat monkey brains. So, we sat at a table, and in the middle of the table was a silver dish. After saying grace, our host lifted the lid, and there was a live monkey-- it's head anyway, sticking out, and a small hammer next to it.

So, we smacked it with the small hammer until the skull busted open, kind of like a very large and hard boiled egg. The brains were then scooped out, and oddly they were the consistency of jello. Tasted just fine.
