Hey guys,
So i went to see way out west at 1015 in San Francisco on friday night, and damn, it was a blast.
They played all night (11-5) in the main room. I was kinda curious as to how they were gonna switch up and stuff, and it went down like this. Jody started the night off for about an 1 - 1.5 hrs with some nice beats, then Nick stepped up for another 1 - 1.5. After that, they pretty much switched up every 30 - 45 minutes.
Nick was typically the one who played the less banging sort of stuff, but when Jody stepped up, he would absolutely kill it. I had never heard Jody spin before, but he totally surprised me! When he was on, he would bring the energy up so high, but then Nick would bring it down. Not to say that Warren wasn't good, he was, but Jody stole the show.
Anyway, i'm not much of a trainspotter, so I cant really tell you guys what they were playing, although they did play a shitload of white labels, and jody had one of those cd wallets filled with cdr's. a few tracks i did recognize were west on 27th, intensify, holdens mix of janeiro, supertylin, and a load of tracks from their recent galaxy mix masters set...
