Voice effects

Do you guys know of a plug-in that can alter voices; robot,martian, etc. I think yamaha has one, but i dont know what its called, and theres also one with some fat oriental cartoon banging symbols which is a plug-in, but again dont know the name.

If anyone can help, please feel free to do so.

I think you're looking for a vocoder. There are a number of vocoder plug-ins out there. Just search for them on the net. One that comes to mind is the orange vocoder, and another is by Native Instruments but I can't remember the name of it at the moment, I think it's called vokator.

a vocoder really only does a few of the voice effects well (robot being one of them)...you can use pretty much any of the other effects in your VST box to make up the rest...pitchshift is crucial
