I always got a kick out of a real life one: When the Japanese cars were first getting popular in America, Mazda got in on the game and noticing that a lot of cars had things such as GT, and IROC, and other such neat-o little letters after the names, named one of their cars the GLC. Stands for "Great Little Car"... I don't think they quite understood the concept of naming cars after races...
