So I'm probably going way off track here but I've found myself in the VBA editor struggling to pull things out of a word document.

What I've got is an image in the document which is some kind of picture of text. That's almost exactly not what I want. I want to convert the picture to text but I can't figure out how to get the object out of the document. Ideas?

If I could figure out how to get the 'shape' object saved as a .jpg or .gif I have a feeling I could move on to getting actual text converted.

you're planning on using OCR software once you get the image?

can you right-click on the image? easy to copy and paste into a graphics program.

If you can't click on it, just screen capture, open it in image editor and crop.
