Before I took my test, all I ever heard were bad stories about the G-test.

I suppose it's supposed to make you feel better if you fail, or justify failing or something.

But let me tell you -- The last time I drove BEFORE my G2-Exit test was five years ago, at my G1 test.

And I passed with flying colours.

There's some rumour about the Scarborough one being more difficult (Lawrence) because you are in a high traffic area and blah blah blah, and there are more routes to take.

I took the Dufferin one which is apparently easier because you go RIGHT onto the 401 at the beginning, and that's the most important for them...so they often don't make you go through the entire test if you've done well on the highway. (Example -- I got to forego parallel parking.)

Anyway, best of luck. If you pass, it was no problem. If you didn't, "Screw the Guvernment, this is all just some conspiracy to make money, they are nitpickin' bitches, they fail 50% of people, yardle yardle yardle"

Watch your speed, always check your blind spots, show extra care/safety when on the highway...

And cross your fingers in hope that you get a nice examiner... if you don't, you're probably fucked

Watch our for those crazy intersections if you're being tested in downtown Toronto.

ie: dundas & spadina, jarvis & bloor (when it splits off to become mt.pleasant) and what not...

good luck laura!

Advice: If you have to parallel park (I didn't, but this happened to my friend who did) MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TOUCH THE CURB AT ALL!!! The examiner failed him because "if there was a baby on the curb he would have killed it". And remember, look, signal, look again, change lane. I got lucky and had my test during a big snow storm last spring, so I was going 20Km/h the whole time and it was fine. Pray for snow, $75 is a lot to just throw at the gov't for nothing.

Theres nothing really anyone can say or any tips... If you know how to drive, you should be fine....

In my G test, I
- rolled through 2 stop signs
- fogot to signal
- drove way over or way under the speed limit
- my parallel park wasn't parallel
- etc......
AND I PASSED

It all depends on who is evaluating you!

GOOD LUCK!

The doors on my ghetto car got stuck after I finished my G test. After a few minutes struggling with the passanger door, the rather sizable examiner woman had to crawl out through the driver's door to get out.

Eh... I guess you had to be there. It was funny at the time

Fortunately she passed me before attempting to get out, so it was all good

Sadly enough it does have alot to do with the instructor you get. I was lucky enough to get my liscence before all this graduated shit started.

Leave your wallet on the dash with hundered dollar bills poking out of it. Then look at it, look at the instructor and be like.......
"Eh? Eh? You like you like?"
If that doesnt work just try to be cool and not block any pedestrian walk ways.

I was scared i'm gonna fail my g test when i took it back in april, cuz i barely passed the first road test. But i did really good, and found it much easier than the first one. Didn't even have to paraller park, or did the 3point turn. Just the emergency stop and some driving on the highway.
As for tips... hmm, when exiting the highway, make sure u check your blind spot, even though you're in the furthest right lane. If you can get your hands on those driving exam books(the new ones from ministry of transportation), they have a whole chapter dedicated to the road test, telling you exactly what to do in all those situations covered in the test. That's a really good help.
Good luck!
