well, i wasn't crazy about lafleche, but myka was amazing (as usual). and the crowd was great too. we stayed right to the end, we literally closed the place
OMG!!! What are you talking about??? Were we at the same party? Lafleche was off the hook! I just about lost it altogether when after the countdown he threw down THE TRACK. The one i've been talking about forever, but no one can give me any info on. The one with the "Thriller" bass line. Damn, that was so insane. The energy from his set didn't fade in the least, from when I got there to when he wrapped up. He kept it thumpin' the whole time! Myka was great though, I will agree with you there. I've come to expect it from him though, he's one of my favorite locals.
I also made a point of going downstairs to see John E, who was playing some great ass shakin' house beats. It was slightly toned down, but far from being chill. He was tossin out some fabulous remixes of some old school disco stuff, you couldn't help but dance! It was great to hear him again, after getting somewhat addicted to his summertime sets at Turbo.
Tim Patric was doin' his thang upstairs, and what can I say, the man rarely has an "off" night. This was no exception. He kept me going well into the wee hours...
A great night all in all, it kept my mind off the fact that I wasn't with my boy. It was all about girls night out, and what a great one it was!
