From a Rob Hood set. It's gotta be the man himself but I can't figure out which it is. Sounds super familiar and I've actually thought that it could be an old Surgeon record too...but more than likely it's Hood.

anyway if you know what it is I will be your super friend forever

It does indeed sound like Hood, but I can't place the name of the track. Then again, I barely know the names of any of my own records. . .

what confuses me is I've gone through the 30 or so of his records that I do have and it's not there...i don't know which ones I haven't heard yet...cos as far as i know I've at least heard them all now...I guess it could also be Kikoman he did some stuff that put Hood to shame, not much but a few. I'll know when I get his last two in the mail any day now. If it's not him though then I'm back to thinking early surgoen of maybe just some dude who got lucky and made a dope tune then vanished off the face of the earth

Trev,

Pretty sure this is eitheran old Synewave record, or a old Advent choon. I remember rocking this tune pretty hard back in the day. If you could post a little more of the tune I might be able to help you further, I need to hear more of the rhythm structures.

Can't remember for sure but it might be from the Ghost in a Shell Soundtrack (on which The Advent did a tune).

Something to look into anyways.

I have that tune on al OLD Algorithym live mix he did on a Dr. Trance radio show. I remember it clearly because I was so baked at the time, my roommate and I felt like getting sick because of the repetitiveness. Although, I must say it does sound different with a clear head. ;)

I'll try and dig up the tape and see if there is a track listing (Sometimes on the show they would go over the tunes played.

If it is the same show that Algo recorded for Dr. Trance when we were hanging out one time it is a little known secret that the entire show is just 1 bar two loop tracks/records with a little eqing. Algo joked that no one would notice and he is right. You did notice how repetitive it was though!

the reason i posted so small of a chunk is that it doesnt do anything else...i gues she was using three tables when he mixed it in cos thats the only part i could find with it alone...kind of hard to hear the rest of the structure when it's not being played alone.

time to start diggin through advent and synewave material

Ahhhhhhh. It all makes sense now. We had to leave the room it was so repetitive. The only time i've listened to that recording was when it was aired. I haven't looked back since. It felt as though we were going crazy. Oh well, I guess it is another tune Isoprax is looking for. Just judging by the clip, it sounded very similar.

Good luck on your tune quest.
