I hate leaving messages...I only do it if its something important for the person to know right away. Otherwise I'll wait til they phone me back to tell them what i'm calling about. Leaves an air of mystery :cool: Right...

my theory is, they're asians (chinese in particular, since this is markham) who can't speak english, but can use a phone. When they hear "Hello" they don't speak... i

then why not leave a message saying "call me back"? cuz often i'll see someone's number on my phone, call them back, and they'll be like, "oh it was nothing. that's why i didn't leave a message."

and then same person will call back the next week and not leave a message, so of course i won't bother calling back. but two days later i will get this message: "i called you a couple of days ago and i figured you'd see my number on your phone. why didn't you call me back?"

haha well thats an issue that your friends have. If I pick up a phone theres always a reason....if I want to "chat" thats what trillian is for :)

I work from home, and it's amazing the number of sales calls that come in.

Here's the worst of them all:

Had this number showing up as "I.C.C." calling twice a day for 5 weeks from a computerized calling service. It was screwed, when you picked up all you got was dead air and then a busy tone. Twice a day for 5 weeks! Try calling back and you get a busy signal.

So I called Bell to complain ... they couldn't tell what the number was or wouldn't do anything to block it unless I bought the blocking service.

Well finally after 5 weeks and ignoring the call most times it came up, I finally picked up and got someone...

"Hi I'm calling from Bell Canada, would you like to try this new long distance plan"

Unbelievable....
