Last Saturday at the Guvernment I asked Mark Oliver if he's going to play anything of George Harrison. (I knew we're both Beatles fans). He said that he actually wanted to, but couldn't access his CD collection (or smth like this). I said "I can bring CDs from home... What do you want?" - "Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
It was about 4am so I rushed home, picked up Abbey Road and the first disk of White Album and brought them to Mark
Somewhere around 6am Mark played While My Guitar... It was unbelievable. But even better moment was when he put Here Comes the Sun as the closing song of his set. (He also was actually mixing the beginning of Here Comes the Sun with the previous trance song). He didn't play Something finally, but Here Comes the Sun was just perfect as the last song.
Anyway, I think it was a great tribute to George and it was a very special experience hearing Mark playing his songs at the Guvernment.
At the end of the night Mark told me that he's sure George heard it because he's a very spiritual person. I think so too...
