alright ebough people have been asking me about ultimate this year..

*note* **i will not be playing in toronto, so this thread will be the extent of my efforts **

I know for a fact that at least 3 from last years team are not able to play this year..
the rest of the team...???

i guess post if you're interested here....

someone needs to be captain, jmaggs would be a good choice if hes playing this year...

does it matter that my frisbee skills aren't completely top notch (never really played for an extended period of timethough)..

But i can run and jump and dive :)

and i bring rev in a cooler!

just stop calling it a frisbee and you'll have all the skills you need.

most of us last year had never played before, but you learn super quick.

fyi...in person registration was last saturday...you can register on-line at tuc.org....team registration is also open now for the next couple of weeks

...and it's just called a disc, not frisbee

DISC? There are soooooooooo many things that are discs. Frisbee is actually original nothing else is a frisbee or am I wrong. If someone said grab a disc and come on over to my place I'd be so confused.

A frisbee is a brand name, and are generally not in compliance with standard ultimate disc sizes and weights.

An ultimate "disc" on the other hand, refers to the general object, not a brand name (ie. like "kleenex" vs. tissue), and also typically refers to one that is the standard size and weight that ultimate should be played with (generally made by Discraft @ 175g).

Once you start playing, when you hear the term "disc", it's impossible to think of anything else, trust.

Swenard: No tackling, but it's still crazy ass fun.

You mean all this time I've been tossing an improperly weighted, possibly larger disc. What good am I to the team now. I'll have no accuracy, which will lead to me getting cut from the squad. Memories of gym class being picked last for dodge ball are starting to appear.:( I may need a tissue. Thanks for the Discography Tina (really) We used to always call it Ultimate Frisbee in school and I used to love it!

I vote Futronic for team captain!

He can yell louder than anyone else on the team. And he's a big hairy wop.

If you guys need a member of the team that's great at distracting the other team with coughing fits, and spewing up pieces of black tar and phlegm - count me in!

I actually wouldn't mind doing something physically active this summer...and if it involves wearing skirts...I can certainly do that too.

Can I smoke on the field? *grins*

so i dont know if there is enough response here for a team, where are all the players from last year?!?!?!??!??!!!!!!!!!!

it doesnt bother me really, just trying to get you fools organized..

i'll play when tina picks me up in her new car :)
