Bumbaclat,

You are the Tribe poker expert here. What other poker sites other than PokerStars is worth trying right now? I'm disgusted by PS and want to try somewhere else.
Oops, I just saw this now. I used to bonus whore quite a bit so I've played at a bunch of sites. They all suck except for Full Tilt and Stars . The software is unplayable and the traffic is terrible at most other sites.

If Poker Stars also decides to honour our FPP's I'm going to get their logo tattooed on me*. I can't remember how many I have as it has been so damn long but it is hundreds of thousands.

Full Tilt open today!!!

They are honoring FPP's and I've got 266,000 of them. I'm going to blow the wad playing WSOP 2013 qualifiers.

We can set this up on Poker Stars home games. I would be down. If people are interested I can set up a home game and tribers can join. We can schedule games, tourney or a sit n go. Im partial to sitn gos myself.

My buddies used to have a weekly home game but wives, kids has made it difficult to get together. Through poker stars now we are back up and running.

o.k. I just set a home game on PokerStars.

If you want to join PM me and I'll send you the details.

I'll make all members administrators so we can all set up games and tourneys.

This maybe old news, but I just learned Woodbine Racetrack as October 26,2012 have 11 Electronic poker tables to play some live poker with other players. Until Toronto actually gets a casino I'll gladly try this place out instead of traveling outside of the city to play some poker. I'm so excited about this I may even go on Sunday.

On NYE, I caught the poker itch again and ended up playing some NL 1-2 at Casino Niagara. I'm just sick of online poker at sites like Full Tilt and PokerStars.

I once tried the electronic poker tables in the poker room at the Casino de Montreal back in February 2008. So I am vaguely familiar with it. Essentially, it is very much like playing internet poker, but you actually sit with live poker players across from you using an electronic poker table. Can't wait to try it out at Woodbine.

First impressions of Woodbine's poker room is that I like the place because I was able to christen the place with a small win. Played on Monday night right after work. Regardless, it was a victory instead of a loss trying out the new room playing NL $1-2. You get way more hands dealt than an actual live dealer (human) at the table and there are aren't any stupid misdeals/errors that usually happen with an incompetent dealer. Love the fact that we don't have to friggin' tip the dealer $1 buck each time we take down a pot.

I will definitely be returning as the action was pretty good for a Monday night. 6 tables out of 11 electronic tables were running at the time of my departure.

Seriously, I just wish my betting amounts were more solid, so I can extract the right amount from my opponents. The pots and betting amounts are at least 3-5 times more than what you would get if you were playing the same NL $1-2 at both PokerStars or Full Tilt.

^^Hey Bumbaclat, I'd like to try online poker again at either Full Tilt or PokerStars with the minimum deposit of $10. What games would you play if you were only loading $10 bucks? What do you recommend as the best way to build a poker bankroll from $10? :D

For No-Limit cash games the rule of thumb is 20 buy-ins needed to play the level you're at. It's a function of risk-of-ruin. The rationale is that a good, winning player will suffer downswings if unlucky, but is very unlikely to go past 20 buy-ins. If your poker bankroll starts to get into territory where you can't easily replace it, then bump that to 50 buy-ins. A buy-in is 100 big blinds.

$10 is under-rolled for even the smallest games (5 buy-ins for $0.01/$0.02) but I'm guessing that you won't be destitute if you lose it. I'd play that level even with the increased risk-of-ruin of only having 5 buy-ins. I would also play only Zoom or Rush, as many tables as you can play with clear thinking. 3-4 is my comfort zone. Always play with a full stack with auto top-up turned on. When you reach 20 buy-ins for the next level up, take the leap. You'll need to make adjustments to better competition at each next level so expect to break even for a short period of time. This is the standard bankroll management strategy that you'll find on Two Plus Two. I've followed it and never gone broke and deposited $100 one time 6 years ago. This advice is all predicated on being able to beat the game (and the rake).

Good luck! Post your progress!

What is a good website where I can deposit money very easily and learn how to finally play properly?

Yes playing online is vastly different but I feel like it's like with everything else; practice practice practice makes better.

Oh, and I use a mac.

Bumbaclat, thanks for all your great tips. Admittedly, I'm still in the red overall in my poker as I've been horrible with discipline and bankroll. :( I'm just trying to start 2013 on a more positive note.

Damn, you must be filthy rich from that original $100 from 6 years ago. LOL
