Tribe help needed...

I got a Fucknut letter from property management regarding my dad parking in visitor's parking.

They are complaining about it being over X amount of time (an imaginary arbitrary number) and are threatening to ticket and tow the next time he parks in our building's visitor parking.

Now I don't recall for my $500+ monthly maintenance fees going to having threatening letters to unit owners. I don't recall any limit (3 nights per week maximum if called in for the overnight) but there's nothing in our declarations for day visitors. My dad had eye surgery and had the past 2 months off, so he came to visit my kids a lot...

They never came by to see if we had visitors (I don't drive), but for them to issue me this letter makes me so mad I want to freak out.

So what can or should I do?

I would suggest that you calm down.....eventhough you are angry......and make a phone call to management explaining the situation. I think that someone in the building has ratted you out.....and complained to management. I doubt that management has the time to see who's parking where. How did they know to contact YOU in regards to a car that is registerd to your father?

Do you have to "call in" for overnight cars so that they are registered overnight with the building? Do they ticket other cars overnight? Is there a security service in your building where you can register ther car overnight? Like a concierge?

Perhaps put a sign in the car window that says "This car is belongs to unit 123.....please call xxx-xxx-xxxx if there is a problem."

My building is too cheap-assed to pay for security beyond 6-8 hours on some nights. I even helped to bust some burglars, still not enough to save me from the threatening letters.
I even lost a day of work to go and testify, but instead I get crap.

I guess it's Basilik's idea to pursue...

I have been playing phone tag today, and only heard back from the property manager once when she left me a message. Since then, I've called back but haven't heard back at all from her.

I tried calling to get a copy of our declaration and bylaws, but they said it's too big to fax, and said there is no PDF file of this as such.

I've dug up the Condominium Act on E-Laws site, but individual condominium bylaws are not covered in this document.

Any suggestions now?

They should be able to fax you the one or two pages that explain the rules.

I'd really push to get something in writing if they're being such dicks about it.

All you motherfuckers are gonna pay. You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our shit, then shit out our shit, then eat their shit which is made up of our shit that we made 'em eat. Then you're all you motherfucks are next.

Love,

OK, I emailed to request a copy of the rules for my building. I don't want to get into a fight over nothing, but how and who is going to enforce 9 visits per month as a limit?

Wee-tards.

for a little while, when he comes over put your car in visitors parking, and put his car in your spot. that can buy you some time.

Um, just taking a stab in the dark here, but maybe that would be the property mgt company, who threatened to ticket and tow your dad's car?

btw -- & I'm only asking an obvious Q that nobody else has -- if your dad had eye surgery & is off work b/c of it, should he be driving?

He had a cataract lasered, and had to wear those "super dark" glasses, but other than that, he's fine, but he had taken off time from work, so he spent his healing time visiting my kids while I'm off busting my hump at work.

I don't understand (since I don't recall EVER reading any limits as such) on our rules. He's back at work now, so he'll only visit on days off, but if he ever gets towed, (or ticketed), I'm going to raise holy hell and if he does get towed, I'm going to sue our condo board for auto theft.

That's not going to make for a pleasant community, I tell ya.

Just as an update, the Property Mgr (avoided calling back or emailing back) shoved an envelope with the condo rules under my door.

None of the rules are applied in my case, and I DONT DRIVE! Hahaha! Bastards!
