my first RAVE was in '99 (by no means would i EVER consider myself a RAVER; even back when i started to listen to the music and get involved in the culture)....
when it and the music really began to grow on me... it was considered something DEAD, long gone with, not to be bothered with.....
been to one hulla event..... the music wasn't my thing, "I" noticed the majority of people were running around ON something, there WAS a vibe, but not the VIBE i enjoyed or would go out and actively seek nowadays. Nothing wrong with it, just not my bag of dicks, is all.
people can spend their time ranting about which board is more justified in doing what and being about what not......
Big DJ's, small DJ's, locals, international talent... the scene....
i follow the music i like, i dance to house the way i probably always will dance to house, and for the same (if not slightly dif) reasons
if it wasn't for alex putting out a free 'zine 'bout what we all have come to love and enjoy in this city (past or present).. there would be no TBK
for me.. the music came first, the 'zine a close second...
then....
[carl] i think i just logged onto my internet[/carl]

as per usual IMHO
