that's too bad, as another toronto originator disappears...i know traxx was pretty lousy the last few years, but when i started buying records starsound was "the" place to go...always the best in house...always the best in the early days of "rave"/techno...& always good for hip hop...i actually got my invitation to my first rave when buying some tracks...the girl basically reached under the counter & said i would probably like this, something called nitrous 012

competition for the djs (professional & bedroom) dollar is fierce in Toronto today, & although it is sad today to hear it has closed, it was tough watching this once great store, slowly lose it's way...

Raul ws good to a lot of people. Probably one of the reasons why they closed.

It was the only place that didnt make me feel out of place or an idiot for not know much about spinning and crap.

Don't even worry. This isn't the first time that has happened. I live just around the corner and walk by there almost everyday. This is the third time I've scene it happen. They will probably be open again in a few days just like normal.

Yeah, the paper posted on their door said that they hadn't paid they're rent, and therefore were not allowed on the premises until they did so...and it was date January 15th.

I always felt bad for Traxx. They reminded me of one of those kids that try too hard to be cool.

But one look at their prominently displayed Jennifer Lopez LPs was always enough to stop me from feeling sorry for them.
