Travel suggestions ..

Would like some advice for those that have looked into or have travelled to Australia/New Zealand. I'm going on a business trip next month to Sydney and will extend it into a bit of a vacation. I'd like possibly fly over to New Zealand for a portion of that. Where should I go? What should I do? .. I've never been there before, nor have I really looked into it before, nor do I know anyone who's gone.
