Could anyone help with this translation please. I'm trying to translate "North of 49" (Like Canada - north of the 49th parallel) into French.
Best I can come up with is "Au Nord de 49". Is that proper? Anyone?

    Nord du 49e

would be correct - based on a friend who translates

"Au nord de 49e" is the exact translation of North of 49e.

If you want to say "Nord du 49eme" you have to add "Nord du 49eme parallel" which means "North of the 49th parallel".

Also "nord" is not capitalized in French.
