...is gonna be a bitch. good luck!

The Gardiner will close in both directions from the Humber River to Carlaw Ave. starting at 2 a.m. Saturday to allow for annual maintenance and road work.

The eastbound lanes will reopen at noon on Sunday, while the westbound Gardiner will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Motorists who have to come into the city from the west are advised to exit the Gardiner at the Lake Shore Blvd. off-ramp and use Lake Shore Blvd.

Motorists from the east are advised to stay on Lake Shore Blvd. past the Carlaw St. on-ramp.

Motorists from the north are advised to exit the Don Valley Parkway at Bayview/Bloor, Richmond St. or Lake Shore Blvd.

Also, motorists have another headache to worry about downtown on Sunday.

Yonge St. will be closed between Dundas St. E. and Queen St. E. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for a hockey jamboree organized by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Church St. and Bay St. are alternate routes for motorists travelling in the area.
