This year I'm combining a book of 15 daytime tickets (I'm taking the week off) and a book of 10 anytime tickets.
I haven't even started thinking about which movies yet: once I pick up the programme on Tuesday, the madness begins! :)

every year I would be leaving town to start university classes the same week as TIFF, so I just trained myself to lost interest in it. Now that I have the time and money to enjoy this...well...i dunno. someone wanna go with me? :)

This is my first TIFF not working for them so it seems strange. BUT I bought a 10 tix package and will be spending the weekend choosing my films.

TIFF is my fav time of the year :)

TIFF is great now that storage is so cheap, but if you're transferring a lot and you don't have a dedicated line JPEG might still be a better option.

    Yes!
I just picked up my programme book and now the madness of sifting through everything on offer to narrow it down to 25 that work time-wise begins.
This is more exciting than opening Christmas presents :)

So it appears that yes, I am the only one. Tant pis!
I normally don't care too much about the talks, preferring to see movies, but when you have:
Bruce Springsteen interviewed by Ed Norton
Ken Loach and Paul Laverty interviewed by Michael Moore
(not to mention the thing with Bill Gates and the Phillip Seymour Hoffman interview)

it might be worth giving up a few flicks...

I also have the 10 flex pack. The wife and I will pick 5 movies to go see. Always makes for an interesting night of bartering and trades.

picked up my pack today --- didn't realize there was a new michael winterbottom flick -- this will be a definite ... new greg araki is also a possibility ... lots of good flicks, and it will be tough to narrow down to 5 ... would love to see fubar 2, but will probably wait ...

The araki is on my list, if only because it won't make it back here uncut (same with the Bruce LaBruce, but I'll pass on it..)

ME! I'm super pumped about TIFF this year! Got 2x 10-ticket flex packs to be split between me and the boy. I'm nowhere near done my selections. So hard to choose!

Any hot tips about films I must watch?

Tonight I have a date with my couch and the programme book!

And more good news, scored myself tickets to the Opening Night Party!

Argh. I always tell myself I'm going to spread out my picks; then I always wind up with a marathon day; this year it looks like it's Thursday.
    Almost done though!

I would get rid of these just because you will be seeing a theatrical release in the near future for all of them. (imo)

I found the book filling process a real pain this year, with copying down all the codes for second choices; and it seems a lot of what I want to see is playing at the same time - boo.

Anyway, here are my first choices, chronologically:

    Film Socialism
    Cirkus Columbia
    Norberto's Deadline
    Viva Riva!
    The Four Times
    Marimbas from Hell
How to Start your own Country
    Roses a Credit
    40
    Incendies
    The Sleeping Beauty
    The Human Resources Manager
    Balada Triste
    A Screaming Man
    Black Ocean
    Leap Year
    Nostalgia for the Light
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives
    Home for Christmas
    Of Gods and Men
    Rio Sex Comedy
    Erotic Man
    Kaboom
    Three
    Special Treatment

Box number 9 was chosen. Crappy since I'm at 27. Crosses fingers,
