the levitation bit is a simple trick where you get your audience to watch from a certain angle and you stand on one toe. the audience cant tell you on your tip toe from where they're standing so it to them, you appear to be rising up off the ground. on the blaine special they used this trickand filmed peoples reactions. then, they show the audience how the trick can be done with wires and that's where the get the one shot from further away where you can see his entire body. so on the special they basically just edited the video so the peoples real reactions go with the rigged levitation.

that one trick he did with the biting the quarter and spitting the bitten piece back out was crazy! its like you know he's got 2 different quarters, one bitten and one not, but he moves his hands so fast that you can't see the switch. i got to tape the special the next time its on and play it back in slow-mo cause this guys tricks are so simple yet completely amazing.

his slight-of-hand for his card shuffling and snapping cards from one hand to the other through the air is truly mind-boggling - he's also such a calm actor, and his presentation is always so slick.....except for the one where he started stabbing the table with a steak knife at the old folks home - he probably freaked the old foggies right out.
and yeah - the levitation trick is easy - anyone can do it with enough practice - its still fantastic though!!!!
