why is photek not putting out new stuff?
i have heard some new special forces tunes but am told that they probably won't be released...does anyone know why???

Oh man... do I ever miss Photek.

Apparently he now lives in LA with his wife who is a movie director, and he is doing movie scores or something along those lines. From the most recent interview I read with him, he said he was tired of the current sound in drum and bass and decided to do something different. I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a shit about the drum and bass scene anymore, and while its a shame from his fan's perspective I've gotta respect him for doing what he wants to do.

Anyways... there are a bunch of finished tunes (Saturated Hip-hop, Reach Out, The End, Uncut Funk, A Different Thing, etc) done around the time of the 'Sushi' single, but who knows if they'll ever come out. I think Fabio mentioned something about a single on Mo'Wax, but nothing ever came of that so who knows.

Damn shame...

i don't blame him.

drum and bass is seriously STALE.

it needs some fresh, new ideas.....and ones that are less annoying than 'bodyrock' (shudder)
