there are many actors making movies today that have given more powerful and complex performances on the big screen. denzell washington, al pacino, robert deniro, daniel day-lewis, liam neeson, kevin spacey, anthony hopkins, tom cruise, dustin hoffman, jack nicholson, johnny depp, ralph fiennes, edward norton, sean penn, morgan freeman, christopher walken, john malkovich ... to name just a few.
