Well surprisingly I'm trying not to do much until my friends get here on the 29th. I don't want to go and do anything they might want to do as well. That includes horseback riding, fishing, boat tours, jungle tours, volcano tours, etc.
I am having a bit of a disagreement with the hotel manager who says I sent a $160 US deposit which is wrong, I sent $215 but the receipt she emailed me is back in Canada.

So I'm hoping I can find someone to go to my house and forward it to me...
It's hot and muggy here, crazy birds and squirrels that's right squirrels running around everywhere. The squirrels are rusty red here, a bright, rusty red. I haven't found any monkeys for diwc yet.
The exchange is pretty good, I just had a huuuuge lunch of carrot/orange smoothie, massive vegetarian burger plate taht I couldn't finish and coffee, + tip, for about $9 Canadian. Of course, the liquor isn't cheap but is almost the same price, just like anywhere.
Internet is about $3 an hour, which is why I'm here... ducking out of the heat and trying not to do too much today. Saw the beach, totally tropical. Hardly anyone there though so I'm wondering where the fuck people go in the day. My hotel is RIGHT on the main strip and our deck overlooks it, so it's pretty noisy all night but dead silent in the morning. My room isn't AC but that's cool. I opted not to have it. It's got a fan and smells slightly of sewage.

If they try to stiff me on that $50 US I'm moving hotels.
That's about it for now... haven't done much yet. Think I'll go for a beer. Or... looks like the sun is getting ready to go down, picture time.
ciao!
