I am enjoying it. I didn't have really high expectations for it and I really enjoy that they keep using their ID pics from the original credits.

I am a little confused at how Mulder got reinstated with the Bureau but I am just going with it.

Also… Skinner looks good! He did not age!

Premature baldness plus premature white/grey hairs plus new beard, it's the secret to looking 40-ish for a while.

The Patrick Stewart Effect?

I was always a fan of Skinner but not Skinner-centric episodes, like the one where he's being tormented by an old gypsy nightmare woman.

I hope they avoid more Scully-narrated introspection over a montage of emotional scenes to Moby or Portishead, loathed those parts in the series. "QUESTION YOUR FAITH, SCULLY! HE HAD ONE FISH BUT NOW HE HAS TWO!? SCIENCE MEANS NOTHING!"

I am singling out my personal worst episode as the Mulder solo adventure with the vampires.

Yeah, it's good to be revisiting the series.

I thought that actor died in real life

it sure looked like he was dead! LOL! Maybe I was wrong, but I looked up quickly during the episode and he had someone holding his butt for him while he chuffed it through a hole in his neck.

Can't wait for it tonight. Do you know how many episodes there are in total?

1) Yeah but I love me some Tyler Labine so it was fun to see his adorable bearish mug again playing a Pacific Northwest stoner on the X-Files. Paint huffing, this time, not toad licking.

2) There should have been 2x the funny episodes there were in the original series so I'm not against working one into this series.

3) Also, they both sound less old and creaky when they get to be out in the open and project. It's the close-up quiet-mic'd moments where they sound sixty five.

Don't forget Murray from Flight of the Conchords! This ep was great.

I guess I expected the "oddball" episode later in the season.

I bet next week will be a bit more hardcore...

I didn't really like last night's episode. I mean, who gets high on gold paint when there is so much more to choose from?!

"No Scully! He changes from a reptile to a human, not a human to a reptile... it's different" - LOL.

S10E03 was fun. I like how they reinvigorated Mulder's need to believe in a cute way. And Scully being the pragmatic one. Balance is restored.

I loved this episode. Had me do a few real LOLs.

Oh and for those complaining about a funny episode, apparently they tried to cram in all the different styles of episodes that fans liked into the six they were doing this season. So there had to be one episode that was funny as well as the arc reaching ones. Also apparently Fox has change the order of the aired episodes so this one was supposed to have air second which would explain Mulder's lack of faith in the beginning of this episode.

Gotta say, I didn't mind the 3rd episode. I'm enjoying all of this so far. X-Files always had those kooky one-offs they'd throw at you once in a while & this was a throw-back to that.

last one was better..a creature tearing people apart, and Scully showing her boobs off... only downfall was the boring dieing mother part

Some of the best episodes in the original series were the ones they went a little wacky with the script.

I remember one with the setting in Baltimore (crossover episode with 'Munch' from 'Homicide Life on the Street' in it). I can't remember the exact premise, but the 'Lone Gun Men' were working and A/V seminar and got played by a hottie. Mulder get drugged and bugs out. It's also one of those 'things aren't as the seem, episodes'. Fun times

Yeah, I like the light-hearted treatment of these past episodes. Especially like the running gag about how Scully does all the physical work. The conspiracy arc in the first run was intriguing but definitely bogged things down at several points. And loved that Munch episode!

I really think that posh mansion the socialite was murdered in is the same one from that brilliant closing sequence from A History of Violence.

Gonna pull up my copy and confirm!
